Bristol University is awarding honorary degrees to two prominent people at today’s degree ceremonies in the Wills Memorial Building [Wednesday 16 July].

Bristol University is awarding honorary degrees to two prominent people at today’s degree ceremonies in the Wills Memorial Building [Wednesday 16 July].

Dr Debby Reynolds, former Chief Veterinary Officer, England and Wales, and a Bristol graduate, will be honoured with the degree of Doctor of Science at the 11.15 am ceremony.

Ms Penny Dobson, Director, Education and Resources for Improving Childhood Continence (ERIC), will be honoured with the degree of Doctor of Science at the 2.30 pm ceremony.

An honorary degree is a major accolade, awarded in recognition of outstanding achievement and distinction in a field or activity consonant with the University’s mission.
