University events for World Mental Health Day

8 October 2008

The University’s Equality and Diversity team has developed a series of events to mark World Mental Health Day, Friday 10 October.

World Mental Health Day takes place this Friday [10 October], and the University’s Equality and Diversity team has developed a series of events to mark the day. The theme for this year’s campaign, in association with MIND, is ‘Get Moving’, in recognition of the links between physical activity and mental well-being.

Several events will be held in the Centre for Sports, Exercise and Health. There will also be a stand in the Hawthorns all day, where you can pick up leaflets on mental health in the workplace. The Multifaith Chaplaincy will be holding a coffee and chat morning between 10am and 12pm. All events are open to staff and students.

The Equality and Diversity webpages list the activities that will be available.
