The University of Teesside has awarded the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Science to Professor Eric Thomas, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bristol.

The University of Teesside has awarded the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Science to Professor Eric Thomas, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bristol.

Described by the University of Teesside as ‘one of the country’s best-known and most influential Vice-Chancellors’, Professor Thomas, who was born in Hartlepool, has made a major contribution to clinical academic medicine and higher education. The award was made at the University of Teesside’s graduation ceremony in November.

Professor Thomas also has an Honorary Degree from the University of Southampton, awarded in July 2006.
