Adding Value

11 February 2010

The University is running a new event on 22 March for staff involved in student skills and employability development.

Preparing students for future employment is no easy task. Nonetheless, staff from across the University – in both academic and support service roles – have built up a wealth of good practice on how to do this effectively within the constraints of time and a curriculum that already seems full to bursting.

The University aims to tap into this wealth of knowledge through its new ‘Adding Value’ programme. This free, half-day event –  run by staff, for staff – provides an opportunity for colleagues working in the area of skills training and employability development to share good practice and explore what students need to succeed and how this can be taught alongside and within the traditional curriculum.

For more information about the event and to book a place, please visit the Adding Value website. There are only 50 places available, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
