The programme is all about offering new opportunities in a fun, flexible and female-friendly format. So far the programme of events has offered self-defence classes, free gym inductions, a mass aerobics class and a ten-week training programme culminating in the Bristol 10K run.

Julie Price, ‘Fit & Fabulous’ project leader, said: "It’s fantastic to have an England player such as Catherine involved in our programme. University life is about trying new things and has proved instrumental in getting women involved in the sport with the likes of Joanna McGilchrist now playing for England rugby after taking up the sport at university."
The free event takes place on Sunday 2 May from 2 pm to 5 pm near the Water Tower on the Bristol Downs and is open to University of Bristol staff and students. Following the coaching session there will also be a question and answer session with Catherine Spencer.
