Physical activity firmly on the agenda for public health
15 October 2010
Professor of Exercise and Health Sciences Ken Fox has received a Fellowship by Distinction (FFPH) of the Faculty of Public Health of the Royal College of Physicians. This is the first award of its kind to a specialist in physical activity.
He said: “This is a great personal honour for me and a long way from my starting point as a physical education teacher in the 1970s. It is particularly gratifying that the Faculty have now fully embraced our area of work, especially at a time when there is critical reorganisation of public health from the NHS into local government."
