Introduction to self-defence for women

18 April 2012

Female members of staff and students are invited to attend a free introductory self-defence training session on Tuesday 1 May as part of Sweaty Betty’s Get Fit 4 Free programme.

Participants will discover how to become more aware of their environment and avoid potential conflicts, as well as learning easy-to-remember strikes and defences to use in threatening situations. This practical session will be taught a qualified instructor, who is also a practising martial artist and confidence coach.

The session will take place at 6pm at Sweaty Betty (on the Triangle). There is no need to book. Please wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind being pulled about.
