New research which found that hereditary inequality began over 7,000 years ago in the early Neolithic era was covered by BBC News, the Daily Mail, The Scotsman, ScienceNOW, Wired, The Epoch Times and local media. 

The research was carried out by Professor Alex Bentley, with colleagues at the Universities of Cardiff, Oxford and Durham, and published in PNAS.
