Dr Eric Albone, a Research Associate at the Centre for Public Engagement, has been made an Honorary Fellow of the British Science Association.

Dr Eric Albone, a Research Associate at the Centre for Public Engagement, has been made an Honorary Fellow of the British Science Association.

Honorary Fellowships are awarded to people who have made an outstanding contribution to the aims and vision of the British Science Association through public engagement and the promotion of science in society.

Dr Albone, who is also a member of University Court, has volunteered with the British Science Association since 1985 and has served it in many capacities including Chair of the Bristol and Bath branch. He is co-founder and director of Clifton Scientific Trust, a charity that has worked to build UK-Japan Young Scientist Partnerships since 1990, and which was awarded the Japan Foundation Award for 2007.
