The University’s Graduate School of Education is hosting a free festival of public events to celebrate [Friday 28 June] 100 years of teacher education. The day of festivities is open to anyone with an interest in education – from teachers and researchers to parents and policymakers. The day will look back at the last 100 years of teacher education in Bristol and forward to the possible global futures for education.

The University’s Graduate School of Education is hosting a free festival of public events [Friday 28 June] to celebrate 100 years of teacher education.

The day of festivities is open to anyone with an interest in education – from teachers and researchers to parents and policymakers.  The day will look back at the last 100 years of teacher education in Bristol and forward to the possible global futures for education. The Centenary Festival promises to be an exciting and inspiring a day of doing and debating – sessions include exhibitions, debates, workshops, and seminars covering everything from the history of teacher education to league tables and school governance.  …there will even be robots.

Some of the country’s leading education thinkers and doers will be sharing their expertise in neuroscience, democracy, development, technology and the arts to demonstrate development and ways of thinking for both learners and teachers.

The event is being hosted at the University’s Graduate School of Education, 35 Berkeley Square on Friday 28 June from 9.30am to 4.30pm.  To book a place at the Festival please visit the event’s website.
