Health and medical care
It is important that you register with a local GP practice in order to access NHS medical care during your time in Bristol. Please do this as soon as possible, and do not wait until you fall ill.
The majority of students opt to register with the Students’ Health Service, which is part of the NHS and offers a full GP service for all University of Bristol students and their dependants who live within the practice area.

If you prefer to register with another local medical practice, or do not live in the practice's catchment area, you can find your nearest doctor on the NHS website.
