Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) are study groups for first-years, run by trained students in later years of their course. They provide a friendly and supportive environment in which to discuss and explore aspects of your course through group learning and discussion.
Attendance is voluntary, but if you attend on a regular basis you could adjust quickly to University life; improve your study habits and develop a better understanding of the subject matter of you course.
The content of each session is agreed between participants and PASS facilitators, with a focus on study skills and course materials. PASS leaders will share their experiences and facilitate discussion rather than re-teaching a particular subject.
We are currently running PASS sessions for students in the Faculty of Arts.
