To ensure your students get the most out of the day, encourage them to take the following steps beforehand:
We will be running our first open day teachers and careers advisers conference on Thursday 27 June. The programme includes information on key issues relating to higher education and provides the opportunity to find out about admissions, our courses and the range of outreach opportunities that may be open to your school or college. The conference will run from 10 am - 1 pm, including lunch. If you would like to attend, while your students are exploring the open day, please book using the open day online booking form where you can also book academic or welcome sessions you may be interested in.
If you are attending the open day but can't attend the conference, you must still book your own place.
If you are unable to attend on 27 June, but can make one of the other open days then we will be running the 'Information for teachers and careers advisers' welcome session where you will be able to get some of the information available from the conference.
Academics, current students and admissions staff will be on hand throughout the day to answer queries and provide information about courses and how to support students through the application process.
The University is committed to working with schools and colleges throughout the UK to encourage young people to think about higher education. This involves working with schools and colleges at higher education and careers fairs, giving talks to staff, students and parents, and supporting candidates through the application process.
