The Honorary Degrees Committee, chaired by the Vice-Chancellor, meets twice a year. Its role is to receive and, where appropriate, to endorse nominations of individuals considered worthy to receive honorary degrees and honorary fellowships, which are ultimately approved by Senate and Council. The Committee also gives preliminary consideration to nominations for national honours from within the University.
Nominations for recipients of honorary degree can be made by completing either a PDF version of the nomination form (51kb), or a Word version of the nomination form (35kb) and submitting it to Alison Dawson, Public and Ceremonial Events Office, Senate House.
