I aim to integrate competing naturalistic approaches to religion within an evolutionary framework. Debunking
approaches to religion should be concerned with disproving the factual claims of religion,and my research is not
concerned to do so. My own project is pretty much neutral, aiming simply to answer the atheist's problem - if there
is no God, how might large portions of the human population have come to believe the contrary?
