Workshop at Bristol University, Department of Philosophy.
13/14th May 2005
Overview
The workshop explores the methods epistemologists use in their investigations into the nature of knowledge and justification. Despite its importance to everyone working in epistemology (and, indeed, to all philosophers), such meta-philosophical issues have tended to be under explored. This is starting to change; recently there has begun a re-examination of the epistemological aspects of the philosophical method. In hosting both Hilary Kornblith and Timothy Williamson, this conference brings together two world-class philosophers who are leading this re-examination. In adding Jonathan Knowles, Patrick Greenough and Finn Spicer, it promises to be a lively gathering.
