Upcoming Events

After some teething issues this website will now regularly bring you details of upcoming Philosophy Society events. The next discussion group will be on 'Paradoxes'. Unsurprisingly, this will involve the discussion of various paradoxes and their possible resolutions. Anything you feel qualifies as a paradox is open to debate, but as a starting point you may wish to look at some of the classics: Newcombe's Paradox (and its cousin, Kavka's Toxin puzzle), Sorites paradox(es), paradoxes of motion, the surprise examination, and 'the Liar'. As always, discussion will not be limited to the topic and if you have any other burning philosophical queries you want addressed bring them along, at:

8pm, Wednesday 6th February at the White Bear
133 St Michael's Hill, BS2 8BS (map)

Hope to see you there!
