Lifelong learning
The Department offers a number of short courses which are open to the general public. These cover important issues in philosophy that are of interest to philosophers as well as those in other disciplines. The available courses are:
- Philosophy, Science and Religion: God? Or What?
- Environmentalism: what should be striving to conserve, and why?*
- Modern Theories of Social Contract: Rawls and his critics*
- Just War Theory: International conflict, a moral perspective
