Lifelong learning
The Department has in the past offered a number of short courses open to the general public. These covered important issues in philosophy that are of interest to philosophers as well as those in other disciplines. The courses included:
- Philosophy, Science and Religion: God? Or What?
- Environmentalism: what should be striving to conserve, and why?
- Modern Theories of Social Contract: Rawls and his critics
- Just War Theory: International conflict, a moral perspective
