South West Public Health Scientific Conference 2019

Tuesday 19th March 2019, Mercure Bristol Holland House Hotel and Spa, Redcliffe Hill, Bristol, BS1 6SQ

The Scientific Conference offered a unique opportunity to showcase both service and university based public health research and evaluation from across the South West. The programme was an exciting mix of plenary presentations, parallel sessions and mini oral presentations. The event promoted debate and new learning across the full range of public health disciplines in the South West.

Public Health Engagement with Academy and Free Schools

Wed 30th Jan 2019, Friends House, London

This workshop shared early findings from an NIHR study exploring how public health experts can work with academy school chains and free school groups to improve staff and student health.

The day brought together researchers, practitioners and policy-makers from across education and public health to help inform links between public health researchers and Academy schools and chains.
