Peter Townsend (1928-2009): A Tribute

 

AIMS

The Townsend Centre for International Poverty Research was launched on 1st July 1999 at the University of Bristol. It is dedicated to multidisciplinary research on poverty in both the industrialised and developing world.

Over 50 academics from 12 departments in the Faculties of Social Sciences and Law, Medicine and dentistry, Engineering and Science, together with colleagues from The Policy Press, are involved in a research-based initiative with the following aims:
