Posters

We print full colour and black and white posters up to A0 size, direct from your disc or memory stick. Please supply a hard copy A4 print out for our reference.

We have a selection of paper stocks to choose from: matt, high gloss or canvas material. We also provide a laminating service to give added protection to your paper posters and to prevent fading from exposure to UV light. Cardboard tube carriers are also available.

Large format scanning

We can scan and digitise your documents up to A0 size using our roller fed large format scanner. Please contact us for further details.

Roller banners

Roller banners are ideal for your events, conferences, seminars and communication campaigns. We print onto 200gsm black out film size 800mm wide by 2130mm length for indoor use, complete with a stand and carry bag. For bespoke sizes please enquire. To ensure that the artwork for your banner is set up correctly for printing, we have created a diagram guide (PDF, 20.7 KB) to help.

Images are important in order to make your banner / poster more eye catching. Resolution of images is the key to good quality production. Avoid using image downloads from the web as these tend to be very low resolution and will not print well. Minimum photo resolution for banners should ideally be 300dpi - 600dpi.

Files

Preferred file type is PDF but all mainstream Microsoft and Adobe applications are supported.

To save a high-res PDF:

• Select ‘File’
• Select ‘Print’
• Select ‘Adobe PDF’
• Select ‘Properties’
• Default Settings ‘High Quality Print’
• Click ‘OK’
• Select ‘Print’
• Save PDF file as....

Delivery

Internal customers:

• Rolled, secured with an elastic band FREE of charge within the University.
• Rolled, secured with an elastic band inside a cardboard tube - £4 per tube.

External customers:

• Rolled, secured with an elastic band, £5 charge within a 3 mile radius of Print Services.
• Rolled, secured with an elastic band inside a cardboard tube - £6 per tube within a 3 mile radius of Print Services.

Collection from Print Services, 1-9 Old Park Hill - £4 per tube, please note; tubes are subject to 20% vat if paying without a University Finance Office charge code.
