Programme overview

This Masters programme introduces theory and research in education relating to leadership and management, policy, global development, quality improvement, and teacher professional development, social justice, international and comparative education. A high degree of flexibility allows you to tailor the programme of study according to your own particular interests.

The programme is designed for educational professionals with some full-time experience in education, whether as teachers, managers, administrators, university lecturers, development workers, policy makers, or early-years practitioners. It attracts students from around the world as well as teachers working in local schools. Throughout the programme, you will be encouraged to relate content to your own professional experience.

As an active member of the Graduate School of Education, you will have the opportunity to join activities organised by thematic groups, research centres or networks concerned with educational issues related to, for example, international and comparative studies, globalisation, assessment, language in education, small states, or China.
