Do you want to study for a degree, but worry that you don’t have the qualifications needed to apply? Have you had an unconventional path in (and out) of education? Are you interested in the arts and humanities but unsure what subject you would like to study?
This is a new and innovative course, which offers you an opportunity to find out about subjects in the arts and humanities and to develop the relevant skills and confidence to progress to an undergraduate degree. The course is taught by experts from a wide range of different subjects, including Archaeology and Anthropology, Classics, Drama, English, History, History of Art, Modern Languages, Music, Philosophy, and Theology.
An arts or humanities course will give you the opportunity to acquire many transferable skills and to enter a diverse range of occupations. Recent Bristol graduates have been successful in obtaining employment in the media, library work, publishing, the theatre, arts administration, and various kinds of teaching, and also in industry, commerce, social work, computing, accountancy, personnel, and law. Some have also written novels, plays, and poems, or gone on to successful performance careers.
