Embedding public engagement into higher education
SEARCH — Science Engagement and Researching Change— was a two-part project looking at the impact of science and engineering engagement work with a view to embedding it in University practice.
About the project
Working with the public is a vital part of university life and an area in which our staff and students are actively involved. They work with schools and local communities, involve the public in research, volunteer in the community, and talk about their research on television and radio, to cite just some examples. Set up in our centenary year of 2009, this collection of over 100 case studies will give you a flavour of the wide range of activities our staff and students are involved in and hopefully inspire you to get involved as well.
