Leisure and health

A Positive Work Environment is a healthy one. Through PWE, the university recognises the importance of health and well-being of staff and their families.

The Centre for Sport, Exercise and Health is not only for the 'sporty' among university staff. Our contribution to PWE comes in many forms, which should include something of interest to most people. This might range from the 'University Challenge' walking campaign to exercise classes laid on especially for staff not used to exercise!

We know that reasonably active people tend to be more positive about life and work than the inactive, so our aim is to encourage more staff to be more active more often, without it hurting!

Summarised below is a range of facilities available to all staff, either as part of the Staff 'Wellness' programme, or more traditional sporting facilities.
