Bristol University is the third best research institution to work at, outside the US, for life scientists, according to a 'Best Places to Work in Academia' survey conducted by The Scientist magazine. Read the full news story.

National HE Wellbeing Project.
A twelve month project to examine and promote staff wellbeing practice across the HE sector has proved to be a great success. The University of Bristol wins the international '2009 Global Human Resource Development Award in performance management' for it's Positive Working Environment initiative from the International Federation of Training and Development Organisations Ltd (IFTDO).

Times Higher Education Supplement 2009 Leadership and Management Awards
The University of Bristol has been shortlisted in the Times Higher Education Supplement 2009 Leadership and Management Awards, for our work over the last eight years on the Positive Working Environment (PWE) agenda. We are one of a small number of organisations picked out as developing an 'Outstanding Human Resources Initiative'. The winner will be announced on the evening of Tuesday 9th June 2009.
