This workshop is designed to provide hints and tips on identifying and engaging businesses and will be of interest to academics who are brand-new or recent newcomers to industry collaboration.

Jeff Skinner, London Business School, will provide expert input and facilitation on how to:

  • Create a robust commercial strategy for finding collaborators
  • Engage and do the first ‘deal’ with a potential collaborator
  • Understand IP ownership and pricing issues relevant to the final agreement
  • Build long-term, higher value relationships with businesses

Learning alongside and sharing best practice with a community of interested academics, you will also hear about the support available from the University’s Research Commercialisation Team including information on relevant funding schemes.

A sandwich lunch will be provided.
