STFC Impact Acceleration Account

The Science and Technologies Facilities Council (STFC) have developed an Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) to support academics to take innovative ideas towards commercialisation through activities not currently supported by other STFC innovation funding. Objectives include strengthening user engagement, supporting knowledge exchange and commercialisation at an early stage, and supporting activities that enable impact to be achieved in an effective and timely manner. We particularly welcome innovative and creative ideas for developing impact.

The University of Bristol was awarded a 2018 £100,000 STFC IAA which will be allocated through competitive funding calls. Eligible activities should meet the objectives outlined above and could include proof of concept studies, showcase workshops with industry, and secondments.

Please note we only have £20,000 in total remaining for this call. Funds should be spent by 30 June 2019. Earliest project start date is May 2018.
