News - Interoperability pilot success and new areas explored

Bristol is currently participating in a pilot project to explore interoperability between Researchfish and institutional systems. We are pleased to announce that the publications upload functionality we've been testing has now been developed into a supported service (launched in December 2018). Researchers are encouraged to create relations in Pure between their publications and projects, and we will upload these relations to Researchfish ahead of each February/March submission period.

The research councils have harmonised on a web-based system called Researchfish to collect information on the wide range of outputs and outcomes from their funding. Researchfish was previously used by MRC and STFC, as well as a number of other funders, while AHRC, BBSRC, EPSRC, ESRC and NERC used a system called ROS (Research Outcomes System), which closed in April 2014. As part of the move to Researchfish, Research Councils have also harmonised on a single framework called the Common Question Set, which covers outcome types for all disciplines.
