Buddhist temples, stupas and pagodas provide a meeting point for the laity and the Sangha. They provide a space in which reflection can take place and religious states of mind can be cultivated. The architechture and style of temples, stupas and pagodas can change depending on the location. A temple in Thailand will look different from a temple in China.
