Research Staff Developments At Bristol

Bristol has a track record of placing Research Staff at the centre of the ‘People Strategy’ for many years.  Much of our work is ‘steered’ by a high level committee that has been working hard to make the employment of Researchers at Bristol as rewarding, productive and enjoyable as possible since 1999.

This is a committee that is representative of the research workforce as a whole as well as including the experience of a number of senior academic staff and policy makers.  It is accountable to the University and Research Staff themselves and has been delivering award-winning change.

Annual reports set out what we have achieved and what we plan to do over the next 12 months, our action is evaluated via CROS the Careers in Research On-line Survey as well as by the Research Staff Representatives and via feedback given to those staff that work day in day out for Researchers at Bristol.

Our mission statement is to ‘Make the University of Bristol the place to work for the very best research staff from across the world’. All our work and future plans are within the context of this central mission.
