Research Staff Project Fund

Aim: The fund is designed to help researchers develop and implement ideas that are of benefit to themselves and other researchers at the University of Bristol. Applicants can bid for funds of up to £1,000 per bid.

Eligibility: All research staff can apply. Applications can be made by an individual or a group of research staff either within or across departments.

Guidelines: The proposed projects must be of benefit to a group of researchers either within a department or ideally between departments not just the individual(s) making the bid! Collaborative proposals between departments are encouraged. This scheme will not only help you to develop leadership and transferable skills but promote creativity and resourcefulness that will be invaluable in a future academic career.

When preparing your application please consider the following:

Feasibility of your idea (where possible, a time- or resource-rich project can be offset by help from other researchers as well as the RS Support team)

NB: The panel does not necessarily expect bids to coverall of these aspects.

The Fund will not cover the costs of:

It is not appropriate to use the fund to conduct academic research

Successful applications: Successful applicants will be required to present a written summary of the project and its outcomes  (no less than one side of A4) within one month of its completion.

Please refer to the application deadline page for details of the 2013 Project Fund and when to submit your application.
