We are sorry to announce that the University of Bristol is now full for 2013 entry. We are unable to offer any places through Clearing or Adjustment.
Further information about Clearing is available from the UCAS website.
Applicants who gain a place via Adjustment are eligible for the Accommodation Guarantee at Bristol, as long as we receive your application for accommodation by 31 August 2013.
For more information, please visit the Accommodation Office website.
The University’s admissions procedures are regulated by its Admissions Principles and Procedures. Each school publishes an Admissions Statement that explains how the principles are followed. If any vacancies are declared, the Admissions Principles and Procedures will be followed as closely as possible, when assessing candidates.
Information for students gaining a place via Adjustment may be found here:
If you have been offered a place at the University of Bristol through Adjustment, you will receive a personal invitation to visit the University during the consideration period to help you make your decision. You'll have the opportunity to talk to current students about their experiences and see some of our accommodation.
If you can't make our tours, then a self-guided audio walking tour is available to download.
If you will be taking up an offer at the University of Bristol and have a disability such as; an Autism Spectrum Disorder, sensory impairment, specific learning difficulty such as dyslexia, a mobility impairment, mental health difficulty or an unseen impairment such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome; please contact Disability Services to discuss your individual needs at the earliest opportunity. A Disability Adviser will be able to discuss with you what support might be available and what you will need to do to access it.
Once you have firmly accepted an unconditional offer to study at the University of Bristol - as long as you have provided your passport details (full name, passport number and expiry date) to the University - a Certificate for Acceptance of Studies (CAS) will be automatically generated for you. A CAS is a unique electronic reference number and accompanying electronic virtual document that contains information about your course of study, as well as your personal details. It is not a paper document.
You will not need to print a copy of this email for your visa application - you just need to write the CAS number in the appropriate section on your visa application form. When they receive your application, UKBA immigration staff will enter the CAS number into their computer system to retrieve the virtual document. Therefore, you do not require a letter from the University of Bristol to accompany your visa application.
Having a CAS does not guarantee your application will be successful as you must still also meet all the other requirements for applying for a student visa. Should you notice any errors in the information contained in your CAS you should email Undergraduate Admissions, ug-admissions@bristol.ac.uk as soon as possible before making a visa application.
For more information on how to apply for a student visa, please visit our immigration page or email the International Advice and Support team os-as@bristol.ac.uk.
