Ms Ana Cretu

Biography

Ana recently earned her Doctoral Degree from the University of Edinburgh and then held a full time Teaching Associate position at the University of Bristol. She is now a postdoctoral researcher working on the Perspectival Realism Project at the University of Edinburgh. Her research is principally within history and philosophy of science, with a particular emphasis on classifications, real patterns, and disagreements. In her work, Ana uses an integrated methodology which combines Philosophy of Science, History of Science, and Core Analytic Philosophy. Her case studies are of diverse nature, including historical episodes from particle physics, astrophysics, and botany.
