Dr Joanna Burch-Brown

I write and teach on twentieth century Black philosophical thought and the arts, Kantian ethics and consequentialism, group processes and intergroup attitudes (e.g. prejudice formation and reduction), environmental ethics and philosophy of ecology.  Much of my work draws across different disciplines, in particular often bringing together philosophy of science and ethics, or ethics and the arts.  I also have interests in philosophy of action, aesthetics, philosophy of science and social science, decision theory, and philosophy of statistics.
