Scholarships and funding
The faculty has a number of fully-funded PhD scholarships available to both UK and international applicants showing exceptional research potential.
Externally-sponsored PhD scholarships are also available in every school. These will generally be funded by Research Councils or industry.
PhD training
The South West Doctoral Training Partnership (SWDTP) provides fully-funded studentships in a range of academic disciplines.
Commendations
PhD students who have received Faculty of Science commendations for their PhD thesis and viva.
