Copyright

The University holds a number of licences which allow staff to copy material for educational purposes. These web pages set out some of the details of those licences and provide some information on aspects of copyright which are not covered under the various licensing schemes.  It is important that all staff and students comply with both copyright law and the terms of any applicable licence scheme.

For further information about the protection and commercial development of the intellectual property in your own work, you should contact Research and Enterprise Development.

For information about infringement of copyright or copyright clearance, you should contact Clare Smith (Clare.Smith@bristol.ac.uk) or Rachel Paterson Rachel.Paterson@bristol.ac.uk in the Secretary's Office.

Subject librarians may also be able to provide assistance and can be accessed through: www.bristol.ac.uk/is/library/subjects and the eReserves team are able to support scanning materials for student reading being placed onto Blackboard.
