You may be using these pages because you have been asked to obtain a CRB check or you may be a CRB countersignatory looking for information.

Please note that further implementation of the Vetting and Barring Scheme was halted in 2010 and certain aspects of the Scheme will now not be introduced. The law relating to CRB checks and the ISA list will change once the Protection of Freedoms Bill becomes an Act, which is due to happen in November 2012. This website will be updated accordingly then. The content of this website should be used in conjunction with advice from the Secretary’s Office as necessary.

For students requiring an ID check and their form to be countersigned there is a list of countersignatories (via the link on the left hand side). Please contact the countersignatory relevant to your department.

If your department does not currently have a countersignatory, please contact the Secretary's Office.
