The University is a 'Secured Environment', under the Association of Chief Police Officers' (ACPO) scheme. This holistic audit looked at six different security 'principles' looking in depth at how the University provides a security and risk management service. The detailed survey canvassed staff via online surveys and focus groups as well as examining documents and policies together with our track record for tackling crime problems. The award demonstrates the significant investment the University has made in ensuring the safety and security of all its staff, students and visitors. The University hopes to achieve re-certification in 2012. For more information, please click on the logo to the right.’
