The School of Modern Languages has signed an agreement with translation technology company SDL to introduce a new Translation Technology prize. The prize will be awarded to Bristol MA students with the top mark on the Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) unit each year. It consists of a licence to use the freelance version of Trados Studio in their professional lives after the MA. All those enrolled on the CAT unit on the MA in Translation and the MA in Chinese-English Translation will be automatically considered for the award.

Translation technologies is a fast-growing area of research and teaching in the School of Modern Languages. Find out more about our technology partnerships.
