Research summary

My current project on 'The Renaissance Decameron' is funded by the AHRC Leadership Fellows scheme. I am completing a monograph which will be the first comprehensive study of the printed tradition of Boccaccio's major work in the 16th century, shedding new light on the mechanisms by which the Decameron achieved its current position in the canon of world literature, and enriching our understanding of early print culture and Renaissance reading publics. During the project I will create an online digital resource for the material study of Boccaccio and the forms of the early modern printed book.
