I joined the University of Bristol in September 2015 as Lecturer in Translation Studies. I am a member of the Department of Hispanic, Portuguese, and Latin American Studies and am co-director of the Bristol Poetry Institute. Previously, I was a Mellon Graduate Fellow at the Society for the Humanities at Cornell University, where I also received my Ph.D. in comparative literature. Before coming to Bristol, I held teaching positions at Cornell, Penn State University, and the University of Chicago. In addition to my research into poetry and translation, I also write poetry and translate from Spanish and Portuguese.
