Centre for Ethics in Medicine
The Centre for Ethics in Medicine is a multidisciplinary centre for research and teaching in health care ethics and law, based in the School of Social and Community Medicine at the University of Bristol.
The Centre’s core activities are:
- Teaching and training in ethics in medicine
- Interdisciplinary research
- Advising health care professionals, government and voluntary agencies
- Informing public debates
The Centre’s research activities focus on:
- Educating and supporting health care professionals
- Chronic illness, terminal illness and long-term care
- Biotechnologies and biosciences
