My research interests are in cancer, palliative care and commissioning decision-making in publicly-funded health systems.

In 1997 I completed high school at Phillips Exeter Academy in the USA before returning to the UK for a year of A-levels at Brampton College in London.

After six years at medical school at the Royal Free and University College London Medical School in 2004, (intercalating a BSc in International Health at University College London in 2003) I started clinical medicine and undertook house-jobs followed by a medical SHO rotation.

I completed a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (DTM&H) at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2007.
