I hold the posts of Senior Research Fellow in Ethnography / Qualitative Social Science for National Institute for Health Research Collaborations for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care West (NIHR CLAHRC West) and Lecturer in Primary Care Research/Qualitative Research for The Centre for Academic Primary Care (CAPC).

Biography

I have a background in critical social psychology. My doctoral work examined the contradictions and tensions in the construction and negotiation of male identities.

Before moving into applied health research, I worked on a large birth cohort study as Head of the Psychology Team for The Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC) where i was responsible for co-ordinated the psychology research portfolio.
