Biography

Laura is a Post-doctoral Research Associate within the MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit, based in the School of Social and Community Medicine.  She is currently working (under the supervision of Dr Nicholas Timpson) on developing and applying Recall By Genotype (RBG) studies; these studies involve the recruitment of a subset of participants from an existing cohort for more detailed phenotypic interrogation on the basis of measured genotypic variation.   Laura is involved in applying this approach to a wide range of traits and diseases in order to investigate the causal pathways through which associated genotypic variants act.  Through the application of ...
