Research summary

Lei's research interests lie in the development of statistical methods for the modelling multivariate data with complex data structure, with application in educational and medical research. She is particularly interested in compiling and extending a wide range of classical statistical techniques, especially multilevel modelling, missing data methods, casual inference, data linkage and data harmonization.

Lei finished her PhD in Advanced Quantitative Methods in Social Science and Health at the University of Bristol (UK) in 2016. She is now a medical statistician working on the Antiretroviral Therapy Cohort Collaboration (ART-CC) project. Before she joined the School of Social and Community Medicine in Nov 2018, she was working as a medical statistician at Clinical Trials and Evaluation Unit (CTEU) Bristol  and as a social statistician at School of Education, University of Bristol.
