Dr Niamh Redmond

NIHR CLAHRC West

I am a Research Fellow and Manager with NIHR CLAHRC West (http://clahrc-west.nihr.ac.uk/). I am responsible for ensuring the varied and cross-partner applied health research projects are running well and to a high standard. I  I advise on project set up and any regulatory approvals, monitor our peer reviewed outputs and support engagement activities with our partners and collaborators. I am also involved in several CLAHRC West research projects as a research team member.

Previous to this, I was the Research Fellow and Programme Manager of a large 5-year NIHR-funded Programme grant and have contributed to several grants and RCTs. I have also co-ordinated and managed a number of RCTs, mostly in primary care settings, and have worked at the University since 2006.

My own research expertise and interests lie in randomised controlled trials, trial methodology and management; specifically improving recruitment strategies in studies and trials.
