Dr Niamh Redmond

NIHR CLAHRC West

I am a Research Fellow/Manager with NIHR CLAHRC West (http://clahrc-west.nihr.ac.uk/). I am responsible for ensuring the varied and cross-partner applied health research projects are running efficiently and to a high standard. I am also involved in several CLAHRC West research projects as well as new projects from the 2016 call.

Previous to this role, I was the Research Fellow and Programme Manager of an NIHR-funded Programme grant, led by Professor Alastair Hay. This was a successful 5 and half year programme of research which aimed to improve the quality of care for children presenting to primary care with cough and respiratory tract infections (RTIs). Several publications resources have resulted from this research (see http://www.bristol.ac.uk/primaryhealthcare/researchthemes/target.html).

My own research expertise and interests lie in randomised controlled trials and trial methodology; specifically improving recruitment strategies in studies and trials.
