Caerphilly Prospective Study

The Caerphilly Prospective Study (CAPS) was set up by the former MRC Epidemiology Unit South Wales to study cardiovascular disease in the United Kingdom.

The initial aims of the study were to examine the importance of lipids, haemostatic factors, and hormones such as testosterone, cortisol and insulin in the development of ischaemic heart disease (IHD).
