Please select your courses from our 2016/17 programme and complete the online booking form. A confirmation message at the end of the booking process will confirm that your form has been correctly submitted. Please note that the system does not send an automatic email acknowledgement.
We will process your booking request and confirm whether there is space on the course/s you have selected. We will request payment by credit or debit card though the University online shop.
During busy periods it may take up to two weeks to confirm your booking request.
Please be aware that bookings can only be confirmed once we have received payment. We ask that all payments are made promptly, either within a month of your booking date or one month before the course start date (whichever comes first). Our short courses are popular and often have a waiting list. Therefore, if we have not received payment within this time period we may release your provisional place to another person on the course waiting list.
We will send you course details, including directions and a provisional course timetable, approximately three weeks before the course start date.
In the event that you need to cancel your booking we ask that you give us as much notice as possible. Participants cancelling more than two weeks before the start of a course will be eligible for a full refund, after that time, you will be charged the full fee.
In the unlikely event that the short course has to be cancelled, our liability is limited to refund of course fees only. We recommend that delegates have adequate insurance cover to reclaim any travel or accommodation expenses.
Our short courses are very popular, often operating at capacity and with a waiting list. In fairness to others we ask that you only book onto courses you are sure you can attend and that you gain permission from your line manager / supervisor in advance of booking.
We expect that you attend every day of the course. Unfortunately a penalty fee (£20 per day) is levied if you do not attend the full course and have not cancelled in advance. We enforce this policy to ensure that as many people as possible can benefit from our courses. If you do need to cancel your place please let us know as far in advance as you can so we can offer your place to someone on the waiting list.
Prompt payment is required to secure a place on a course. Payment is due within a month of your booking date or one month before the course start date (whichever comes first). After this time we may release your provisional booking hold.
Please note we are unable to provide visa support letters. We recommend non-EU applicants ensure sufficient time to apply for a visa in advance of course start dates.
We anticipate that the 2017/18 programme will launch at the end of September 2017. Please note bookings cannot be taken in advance of the programme launch.
